Superman may be tough, but superbugs are catching up. Superbugs are bacteria that have become resistant to antibiotic drugs. This is a problem which is made worse by the misuse of antibiotics. For example, if a patient stops taking their antibiotics prematurely, some bacteria may survive. These bacteria will be resistant to the antibiotic, and thus require higher doses next time. This process can continue until the superbug becomes unstoppable.
